'Hold That Road' Triumph Bonneville mods
In standard form the Bonneville has suspension aimed at being soft and pleasant for cruising between cafes and the occasional day trip. However, pillion passengers get a raw deal and when it comes to enjoying a day in the twisty stuff the rear suspension shows a little more than a tenuous relationship with the front.

  'Project Zed' Kawasaki ZRX1200R mods
I've commented in previous tests that the ZRX1200R suspension can get somewhat wallowy in faster going, and that a suspension fiddle was on the must-do list. That's in spite of the 1200 getting revised damping settings over the earlier 1100 model. Well, it's now mission accomplished - and the transformation is impressive.

  'Suspended Animation' Honda CB1300 mods
The stock front suspension on the CB1300 allows the rider to adjust the spring pre-load and the rebound damping over a wide range of settings. The twin rear shock units are also adjustable for spring preload and rebound damping. On the surface, the range of adjustability appears to allow individual owners to get a setting just right for them so why did we consider additional tuning?

'Serious Suspension' Guzzi Cali Stone mods
I've had continuous trouble with chopping out the sides of BT45 fronts in 10k km, no amount of variation in tyre pressures has alleviated the problem but I have been informed that this also indicates poor suspension.

  'Speed Bumps' set-up Yamaha WR450
Suspension set-up in a motorcycle, for dirt or road, is set for Joe Average, a fictitious individual of standard weight, size and riding style. There are many variables in suspension sensitivity - rider weight, rider/bike weight, weight distribution, the addition of pillion passenger and luggage, and so on, and every adjustment you make affects another aspect of suspension performance.
